Garbo Dolls by Jerrold de Wolfe

"This homage to Garbo distills the very essence of her mystique, her desire to be a private person whose beauty pushed her into the glare of the spotlight."  by de Wolfe.

A tribute to the screen's legendary goddesses

Artist Jerrold de Wolfe is paying tribute to the screen's legendary goddesses. He designed several amazing dolls of Hollywoods classic stars.

Each star represents a unique fashion image and de Wolfe is creating a special, original outfit designed to capture the very essence of each star's look.

Not costumes worn in films, but original designs inspired by the fabled fashions of tinseltown. Every outfit is a special, one-of-a-kind creation in the glamorous, high quality tradition that has made de Wolfe the "Collector's Collectible."

Jerrold Thomas' meticulous workmanship continues to set the standard for one-of-a-kind doll haute couture. Fabrics are deluxe European materials. Trims and decorations, including furs, are of the highest quality.

About the Garbo doll

Greta Garbo's legendary face redefined beauty for the 20 th Century. Her own personal style resonates today even more than her fantastic screen get-ups. Off-screen, she preferred comfortable, almost masculine sportswear.

Jerrold de Wolfe's tribute to the Silent Swedish Superstar combines both her screen glamour with her personal penchant for sportswear.

A deluxe, belted ankle-length polo coat in camel cashmere is frosted with a dark faux fur shawl collar. It is lined in gold lurex to pick up the sparkle provided by a turtleneck sweater of gold lurex yarn especially knit for this collection by Shirley Devlin.

Finishing the ensemble are a pair of smart wide trousers that are tailored of metallic gold pinstriped chocolate brown wool, a big brimmed hat of wool felt, shoes, gloves, suede belt and earrings.

The blonde doll has been totally repainted to resemble Greta Garbo. Its a on e of a kind dressed doll.
