INTRODUCTION |
Jean-Marie Rivière is an actor, director and director of music hall French, born in 1926 and died in 1996. He successively founded and led the Café des Arts in Saint-Tropez and in 1976 the cabaret L’Ange bleu (The Blue Angel). L'Ange Bleu had the usual type of parodies (Dietrich, Eartha Kitt and so on) but also tableaux, which they crossed over to do arty things. Jean-Marie performed too, along with his wife Catherine Rivière. In the show they had a Garbo spoof. |

In the show they spoofed a scene from Queen Christina. They used the scene in the Inn, where Garbo and Gilbert spend the night. The artists had great make-up and costumes and while acting the scene on stage, they used the original voices of Garbo and Gilbert. |
