TRIVIA

This small promotional film is mostly known as Our Daily Bread.

Our daily Bread is the part were Greta appears and its only 8 Minutes long.

The film was featured as art of the Swedish exhibit at the Tokyo World's Fair.

The first time that Lars Hanson (Gösta Berling Saga) and Greta are in a film "together".

The full version of this 27 minute short  is lost.

In 1921, director Ring, again directed Greta in a short film. The promotional film is mostly known as How not to dress.

BACKGROUND STORY

Director Lasse Ring did not forget Greta, he already worked with her on How not to Dress and he was selecting her to essay another comedic role in a promotional piece he directed for the Consumer's Cooperative Association of Stockholm. Her part was filmed on Sundays, Greta's day off from PUB. The twenty-sevenminute short, a veritable time-capsule vision of Stockholm in the early 1920s, depicts leisure activity in and around the capital city during the summer.

In an intriguing bit of foreshadowing, during the first sequence Greta and a group of friends have tea on the rooftop terrace of the Strand Hôtel, across the street from the Royal Dramatic Theatre. Greta finishes her coffee and pastry while the camera pans to reveal the popular actor Lars Hanson at an adjoining table.
